WRESTLING BABYLON: Piledriving Tales of Drugs, Sex, Death, and Scandal – Irvin Muchnick’s book about pro wrestling behind the scenes — drew more than 100 people and sold out the bookstore’s stock of 30 copies at the book’s launch event last night at Black Oak Books in Berkeley, California.

Muchnick is scheduled to be interviewed today at 8:30 a.m. Central Time (6:30 a.m. Pacific Time) on WAFN-FM, “Fun 92.7″ in Huntsville, Alabama.

Knapp doesn’t mention WRESTLING BABYLON but her piece is a bull’s-eye for the book’s themes. The topic is certain to be central to my live in-studio interview with Gary Radnich on KRON 4 News at 6 today (at around 6:45 p.m.).

The interview will be at around 6:45 p.m.

The interview was originally scheduled for March 26. It was moved up, in part, because of reports this week, on the website of Sports Illustrated, of the listing of the names of World Wrestling Entertainment star Randy Orton and other wrestlers in connection with a nationwide investigation of human growth hormone and steroids.
